Please leave a comment stating your location (City), which stores in your area double coupons, and what is their policy regarding such (i.e. how much do they double, are there item limits, coupon limits, etc.) I will list the information you provide as a database to assist other shoppers.

Note that I am not personally guaranteeing any information shared here. However, because store policies seem to be constantly evolving, I find that I can’t always rely on what I read online. This will provide some real-time insight from shoppers who actually patronize these locations.

North Georgia area: I’m giving a bit broader detail here, since I am personally familiar with the area and the stores here.

Publix doubles up to $0.50 with a limit of 10 like items. Overages are given. Store and mfr coupons may be combined per item, and competitor coupons are accepted. What is considered a “competitor” varies by store. Link to Publix official coupon policy.
Ingles doubles up to $0.50, with a limit of 3 coupons per $10 spent with a limit of 2 like items. No overages are given. Occasionally triples are offered, so watch the ad. Link to Ingles official coupon policy.

I live in Calhoun Ga and shop often at Ingles because they have the best Gluten Free products. Since I have Celiac I have to be watch what I eat…. The policy for double couponing is a bit complex but here is what i found:

    Ingles Coupon Policy

    Our Coupon (double/triple) Policy is:

Three (3) coupons doubled with each $10 order.
Six (6) with each $20 order
Nine (9) with each $30 order
Twelve (12) with each $40 order
    Fifteen (15) with each $50 order…etc.

You must have the Ingles Advantage card to double coupons. Coupons of 50¢ or less will be doubled/tripled, except on tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, coffee, free items, or Ingles coupons. Double value cannot exceed the price of the item. Double savings start with each $10 purchase. No more than two (2) identical items are eligible for double coupon savings.
As far as Kroger, here in Calhoun it is the same as the above posts… I have found GREAT deals at Ingles.

I have a question…you said the Calhoun Kroger is “the same as the above posts” meaning it is the same as Ingles?? I thought Kroger doubled all coupons up to .50. Is that not the policy?? you have to have a $10 order to get 3 coupons doubled? Thanks for your help.

I live in Richmond Hill, GA which is just outside Savannah, GA and we have the same rules as Savannah. :)

    - Kroger will double up to 0.50 and they will allow overage. They will not allow cash-back. Most locations only allow 2 like item coupons. They have e-coupons online which do not double regardless of amount.

    - Publix – will double up to 0.50 and will take 1 manufacture and 1 competitor OR 1 publix coupon stacked. Each locations varies as to whom they consider a competitor. Competitors are listed by location: Richmond Hill and Island Towne Center- Food Lion, Kroger, Fresh Market, Piggly Wiggly. Largo Plaza and 12 Oaks- Food Lion, Kroger, Fresh Market, Piggly Wiggly, Save-a-Lot. Pooler Marketplace – Food Lion, Kroger, Fresh Market, Piggly Wiggly, Harveys.

    - Food Lion – will NOT double coupons at all.

    - Commissary on post – will NOT double coupons at all.

    Hope that helps! :)

I live in Sandy Springs, and the kroger here says they do but I have never seen it on my rexeipt. I have actually watched it happen at Publix. They double man. coupons up to $.50.

    • J. Kelly says:

Michelle – I work in Sandy Springs and shop in the Kroger off Hammond Dr. regularly. They do double coupons up to $0.50 if you have a Kroger card. Agree with you on Publix as well – they always double.

  4. Elaine says:

Will the Dalton Kroger allow stacking?

    • J. Kelly says:

Elaine – I believe there is a limit of one coupon per item at any of our local Krogers, including Dalton.

  5. Angie says:

I live in Pitts, GA but shop in Cordele, GA. We have a Harvey’s Supermarket that doubles coupons $0.50 or less. This is their coupon policy….

We also have a Save-a-lot that accepts coupons, but the manager did not say if they will double or not. Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens is probably the same nationwide.

    • Ann says:

I live in Cordele, Ga and I have been to Harveys on Sat and on Wed cuz I heard they doubled everyday then heard again only on Wed so I tried both. I had coupons under 50 cent but none doubled on either day. If they double for you how do you know when it will double? I havent found anywhere in our area that doubles.

  6. Melinda says:

I live in Columbus. Publix and Winn Dixie doubles coupons up to .50 and Freds double up to .70 on Saturdays. You have to join Winn Dixie’s member club to get sale prices. These are the only stores that I know of.

  7. Matildaf says:

I live in Tifton, GA. The only grocery store here that doubles coupons in Piggly Wiggly. We are supposed to be getting a Publix by 2010, and we cannot wait! We only have three grocery stores, Harveys and Piggly Wiggly and Save-a lot besides our Walmart. There is NO competition!

    • Denise says:

I also live in Tifton, GA and the Harvey’s does double up to $.50 everyday. Can’t wait to get a Publix!!

  8. Tameka says:

I live in Hampton, GA (southern suburb of Atlanta) and all metro Atlanta Food Lion stores double coupons up to $0.60!! They recently imposed a “10 like coupons” limit. They will also price match any traditional grocery stores prices and will take a competitor’s coupon ( I think there is a limit on the number that you can use though).

  9. Holly says:

    I live in Woodstock GA.
Krogers doubles up to .50, you can stack and apply coupons downloaded on Kroger card. Now for every 100 points you earn you can apply .10 off gas. So 300 points means $.30 off your gas.

Publix doubles up to $.50 and will take competitor coupons. Each public decides who their competitors are. Rosecreek publix will only take roger coupons.

Wlamart will not double but will price match. So take Aldi produce prices and walmart will match.

Ingles doubles but they have to many rules so I don’t go there.

Not sure if food depot doubles but they have good produce prices.

    • dawna says:

Kroger will not allow you to use coupons on your card and paper coupons together the one’ on your card over rule the paper one’s even if its a lower coupon and electronic coupons do not double.

  10. Felicia says:

Piggly Wiggly on south Lumpkin road in Columbus, GA does not take printable coupons.
